The Cypress Village Shopping Center in the heart of Miami Lakes has something for everyone: Businesses that specialize in health, beauty and fashion. And there are a lot of dining options, too.

The complex at 7301 Miami Lakes Drive is bordered on the west side by Fairway Drive.

It was built by The Graham Companies in 1972, and underwent an extensive renovation in 2016.

A new, 12,000 square foot building replaced an old Blockbuster store. Four new towers were added, along with 89 new parking spaces, sidewalks, lighting, tile roofs, signs and hurricane-proof glass in the storefronts.

It is the third shopping center the developers built, after the Lake Patricia and Lake Katharine shopping complexes.

The Villas of Miami Lakes, Cypress Village condominiums, Loch Andrews and Loch Isle communities are all within walking distance.

Longtime tenants are Duke and Dutchess Pet Center & Grooming; The Beverly Hills Cafe and A’ Dazzles Salon and Beauty Supply.

Alicia Singleton of Hialeah said she has shopped and had her hair and nails done in Cypress Village for a decade.

She said it’s a convenient destination where she dines often.

“The food is good here,” she said.

Singleton says Teresa Torres of Salon De Soleil “makes me look beautiful.”

Singleton will soon have a new restaurant to try: BurgerFI has signed a lease for the space next to Starbucks.

Baylee Plaza, assistant manager at European Wax Center, said the Cypress Village Shopping Center is the best location for her business, which opened four years ago.

The salon offers wax- ing services and skincare products.

“It’s awesome, especially with the traffic on Miami Lakes Drive because people come and visit us,” Plaza said. “It gets really busy on the weekends. We have been growing every year.”

For fitness or health care options there are F.I.T. Therapy/The Movement Lab; Rilion Gracie Jiu-Jitsu; Asthma & Allergy Associates; Pharmacy Care Center; Dr. David. C. Mai, podiatric surgeon and Dr. Alexandra D. Gherbali, All Dental Group and Remedy’s Holistic Medicine.

Diners may enjoy Trattoria Pampered Chef Italian Restaurant; Holiday Bakery; Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt; Starbucks; Gauchos Argentinean Gourmet Market; Sushi Sake; Dr. Limon Ceviche Bar; Cruzeiro Brazilian Steakhouse; Diced restaurant and McDonald’s.

Other businesses include Signature II Nails and Skin Care Spa; Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa; ORO jewelry store; Fashion House; Crown Cleaners; Mega Wine & Spirits; Ocean Bank and Landsafe Investment Group LLC.
