Several Miami Lakes area houses of worship have announced special holiday religious services and events:
Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 15801 N.W. 67 Avenue, will hold special holiday mass services for Christmas and New Year.
Christmas Eve, Saturday Dec. 24 – 7 a.m. in Spanish, 8:30 a.m. in English, 4:30 p.m.; Festival of Carols, 5 p.m. in English, 11:30 p.m Festival of Carols.
Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25 – Midnight: Bilingual service, 10:30 a.m. in English, 12:30 p.m. in Spanish.
New Year’s Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31 – 7 a.m. in Spanish, 8:30 a.m. in English, 5 p.m. in English.
New Year’s Day, Sunday, Jan. 1 – 9:30 a.m. in Spanish, 11 a.m. in English, and 12:30 p.m. in Spanish.
Christ the Saviour Orthodox Cathedral, located at 16601 N.W. 77 Court, will be holding its annual Christmas services. On December 24 a Christmas Eve vigil will be held at 5 p.m. followed by “Holy Supper” at 6:30 p.m. The meal is $15 per adult and $6 per child. Chabad of Miami Lakes, led by Rabbi Mendel Weiss, is holding a Chanukah celebration on December 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Miami Lakes Town Hall located at 6601 Main Street.
