Christmas tree mulch available free for Solid Waste customers at North Dade Landfill

Miami-Dade County Department of Solid Waste (DSWM) encouraged residents to participate in the “Go Green, and Recycle Your Evergreen” Christmas tree this part holiday season. These evergreens have now been chipped and the material is available to DSWM residential waste service area customers free of charge.
Persons interested in picking up Christmas tree mulch must bring their own bags or containers and the mulch will be available on a first-come, first-served basic while supplies last.
For DSWM customers in northwest Miami-Dade, including Miami Lakes, the nearest mulch pickup location will be open seven day a week from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the North Dade Landfill, 21500 N.W. 47 Avenue.
