Elderly Affairs Committee has events planned for seniors in May

Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee has scheduled a variety of events for senior residents during May.
Senior Western Social - Saturday, May 4, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue. Yee-Haw and be sure to wear your best western wear
Lunch Bunch and Bingo - Wednesdays, May 8 and 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue. Seniors can socialize and make new friends while having fun and enjoying free nutritious lunches. Reservations now open for the May 8 event and will open on May 15 for the May 22 event. Mount Sinai Lecture Series - Tuesday, May 14, from 11 a.m. to noon at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street. The Community Wellness Workshop will include a light lunch sponsored by Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Senior Field Trip: Sanibel Island - Tuesday, May 16. Bus will leave at 6 a.m. from Miami Lakes Optimist Clubhouse, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.
This day trip to Sanibel Island is sponsored by The Graham Companies. Located along the Gulf of Mexico a short drive from Ft. Myers, Sanibel is famed for its sunsets, lighthouse and luxurious resorts. Most popular activity is shelling.
