Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee will host a Father’s Day Fishing Tournament from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, at Miami Lakes Optimist Park Marina, 6411 N.W. 162 Street.
No experience is necessary and all equipment, including life jackets and fishing rods, will be provided. Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission representatives will also be present to teach basic fishing techniques.
Residents and their children are invited to join the competition to see who wins prizes for the most fish and biggest fish.
