The office of Senator Rene Garcia is inviting girl scouts of Miami Lakes and Hialeah to visit the Community Family Festival at Palm Springs United Methodist Church, 5700 West 12 Avenue in Hialeah, on September 9.
The event promises fun for the whole family and is sponsored by the Hialeah Gardens Home Depot. The first 75 girl scouts will receive a fun patch and there will be many opportunities to meet other girl scouts and earn patches.
Girl Scout troops from Miami Lakes and Hialeah attending will be 302, 33, 337, 472, and 260. Girl Scouts from Miami Gardens are troop 900 and from Aventura is troop 460. Rummage items will be available for sale, raffles will take place and Build-a-Bear Workshop, Boy Scout Troop 306 and Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr. will also be present at the event.
