More than 350 people participated in the Sixth Annual Great Strides Miami Lakes Walk to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) on April 26 at Graham Park in Miami Lakes.

The Walk, which netted $63,000, benefits CFF whose mission is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality specialized care. Currently, there is no cure.

Miami Lakes elected officials, including Mayor Wayne Slaton and Councilmembers Tim Daubert, Frank Mingo and Nelson Rodriguez, attended the Walk and presented a proclamation naming April 26 “Great Strides for Cystic Fibrosis Day.”
