Lakes-based nonprofit recognizes those whose gift gives life

South Florida Donor Network recently welcomed donor families and loved ones to a donor recognition ceremony - an evening dedicated to remembering those who helped others live or live better through organ, eye and tissue donation.

The group, which officially opens its new Miami Lakes headquarters this month, hosted the event at the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood. The event honored 52 donors, who were represented by more than 300 family members and loved ones.

The ceremony was led by SFDN President and Chief Executive Officer Joe Ferreira, who served as Master of Ceremonies.
