The dancers at Intensity Dancer’s Studio, located at 15507 Bull Run Road in Miami Lakes, have a lot to celebrate. The dancers for the competition team, which includes ages 8 to 18, just wrapped up competition season with a host of awards. The first competition, Star Systems, began in February and followed with On Stage New York, Kids Artistic Review (KAR), and Star Power, the last competition ending in April.

“We are really proud of what our team members accomplished this year. We specifically chose competitions that would be challenging to them,” said instructor Marisa Bidegaray. “They competed in the highest division at the events, knowing that they may not always come in first place. They stepped up to the challenge, making their wins worth that much more.”

The highlights for the studio include: “Snow Angels” winning first overall for a small group for KAR and Star Power; “We Like To Party” winning overall for a large group for KAR and Star power; Chloe Menendez for first place overall soloist for KAR and Star Systems; “I Believe” first overall group for Onstage and KAR; “I Want My MTV” for first overall production in KAR; Marirosa Crawford for Miss KAR 2015 and first overall soloist; “All My People” first overall large group for Star Systems; Brashawd Lewis for Mr. KAR 2015; Katie Camero for Miss Starpower 2015 and Miss KAR 2015; Performance team for the Too Hot To Handle Award.
