The Main Street Players is holding auditions for Clark Gable Slept Here, by Michael McKeever, directed by John Ferry. Performance dates are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays on February 2 to 18, 2018. Audition dates are scheduled for Monday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 7 from 7 to 10 p.m., with callbacks, if necessary, on Wednesday, November 8 from 7 to 10 p.m.
All auditions, callbacks and showtimes will take place at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main St. in Miami Lakes.

Clark Gable Slept Here is a dark comedy that is two doors short of a farce. This fast-paced play is a peek behind the curtain of life in the Hollywood fast lane. The play takes place in a suite at the classic hotel Chateau Marmont on the night of the Golden Globe Awards. What transpires is a bleak, tragic and unapologetically hilarious look at what the movers and shakers of Tinsel Town are willing and able to do in order to keep and preserve their secrets and the status quo of the Hollywood mystique and lifestyle.

Actors will be compensated for their performance. Those wishing to audition must bring a recent headshot and updated resume, a comic monologue one to two minutes long, be prepared to read from the script, professional attire, knowledge of the play, and ages within the ranges of the characters they are auditioning for. Additionally actors must note any foreseeable conflicts during the rehearsal process.
