Miami-Dade County Animal Services, The Humane Society of Greater Miami, The Cat Network and Miami-Dade Count Parks have teamed up to host a 12-hour Mega Pet Adoption Event from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, at the Tropical Park Equestrian Center, 7900 S.W. 40 Street.

The event offers potential pet adopters the opportunity to meet their perfect pet and enjoy fun activities for the whole family. Hundreds of homeless cats and dogs will be available at reduced adoption fees. Adoption fees for dogs over 35 pounds will be waived and adopters will only be responsible for a $27 license fee. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to go to new homes.

The event kicks off with a puppies and kittens marathon. Attendees can enjoy food and refreshments, an Easter egg hunt, and family entertainment. Admission to the park is free and complimentary parking is available.
