Miami Lakes Historical Scavenger Hunt set for March 14

Community Monday, February 16, 2015

The Great Miami Lakes Historical Scavenger Hunt is back by popular demand for its third year. The free family friendly event is produced by the Miami Lakes Youth Activities Task Force.

After two successful years and with over 200 participants each year, the event continues to grow in popularity. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, March 14, beginning at 10 a.m., rain or shine, with the starting location at Town Hall, 6601 Main Street. The event is open to anyone who enjoys spending the day outdoors and is up for a fun challenge.

In addition to historical clues, this year’s Hunt will have many twists and surprises. The clues will not only be historical in nature, but will include other interesting and fun facts. Participants should be prepared to walk and put their heads together to solve the clues.

Raffle prizes and a memorable grand prize which will be awarded to the winning team, will be revealed closer to the event date.

Everyone is welcome to participate, Miami Lakes residents or not, including students, retirees, business owners, teachers, even Grandma and Grandpa (they might just have the answers to most of the clues!). For more information, email Katya Lysak at lysakk@miamilakes-fl.gov.
