Palm Springs North is a residential community just north of Miami Lakes.
It was built between 1960 – 1974; an early developer was Laurence Construction, Inc., real estate experts said.
There are 1,554 homes in the community, which are within 24 subdivisions of varying sizes, according to Rosa Nell Hammer, a Realtor with The Keyes Company.
Known as PSN, it is bordered by Northwest 170th Street and Northwest 186th Street; Northwest 77th Court and Northwest 87th Avenue are the eastern and western borders.
Amenities
There is a mix of single story and two-story homes. Some are custom built
and many have a backyard swimming pool.
Other properties also have views of the lakes -- there are three -- in the community.
The Norman and Jean Reach County Park has an outdoor shelter for parties and a public swimming pool.
The Palmetto Express- way, Florida’s Turnpike and Interstate 75 are close by.
Children can attend Palm Springs North Elementary School, for students enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade, or just across Northwest 87th Avenue, there is Mater Lakes Academy for middle and high school grades.
Who lives there?
A PSN resident since 2016, Lisely Jimenez said, “My neighbors are very friendly. Everyone helps each other out.
“We love the lake and the ability to put boats and Jet Skis in the water without having to go to the ocean,” she said.
Edelso Riveron, a Realtor with The Keyes Company, says PSN is a desirable community in a convenient location.
“It includes three lakes [that allow motorized watercraft] and offers quick access to major expressways, said Riveron.
What does it cost?
Currently there are seven homes on the market, ranging in price from $499,000 - $749,000.
There is a $150 annual homeowner’s association fee for lakeside properties which covers maintenance of the waterways, according to Riveron.
