History
The Satori development has 482 residences -- 226 townhomes and 256 single-family houses -- inside a gated community on the west side of Miami Lakes.
Lennar Homes began building the gated community four years ago.
Its 128 acres are bordered by Northwest 87th Avenue, Miami Lakes Drive, Interstate 75 and Northwest 165th Street.
Residents have two entrances – at Miami Lakes Drive and Northwest 89th Avenue, and at Northwest 87th Avenue and Northwest 162nd Street.
Amenities
The properties are around a large lake where all residents may kayak or use non-motorized boats, said Luis Dominguez, a Realtor associate with Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Coral Gables.
Dominguez is working with Lennar Homes’ sales associates to sell residences in Satori.
“It’s a private community that’s well located, minutes away from the Palmetto Expressway and I-75,” Dominguez said.
Other amenities include a walking park, a clubhouse with a gymnasium, pool and a splash pad for kids. There is also a community room for events and birthday parties.
Who lives there?
Twelve townhomes that are still under construction are the only residences left to be sold, said Jose
Estarellas, a sales representative for Lennar Homes.
Residences may be one or two stories, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms or up to five bedrooms and four baths.
Satori owners are in the legal, medical and business professions, attracted to architectural elements inspired by what can be found in Japan, the Realtors said.
The entrance gates resemble those in front of Japanese Shinto temples. Homes have wood and stone design accents.
“They never saw anything like this before,” Estarellas said. “Beautiful Asian homes with a clubhouse that resembles an Asian resort.”
What does it cost?
Estarellas said townhome prices begin at $400,000; single-family houses cost $592,000 to $800,000.
Owners pay $290 a year in association fees to use and maintain the amenities, Dominquez said.
