Most of the athletic turf fields at Miami Lakes Optimist and Royal Oaks parks will be closed for annual maintenance, the Town of Miami Lakes announced.
The fields will be closed from now through August 6.
Residents and family members will have access to one area at Miami Lakes Optimist Park, 6425 Miami Lakeway North, north of the basketball courts for play in addition to the perimeter berm area for exercises.
Residents may also take advantage of the open play field areas, the green space just east of the picnic shelters, and the walking trail at Royal Oaks Park, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue.
Residents playing pick up games and other non-organized activities can use the open play field areas at Royal Oaks Park and at Barbara Goleman High School, 14100 N.W. 89 Avenue.
