When a Goldendoodle puppy joined Paz and Jorge Sanchez’s family in Miami Lakes, their son Oliver, 3, wanted to call his new pet Dino, short for dinosaur.
Turns out Dino was a girl, and Dina, now 3, is her name. She and Oliver have a special bond.
“Dina was the only one of the litter who interacted with my son,” Paz Sanchez said. “She instantly started playing with him.”
Turns out Dina was the perfect playmate for the family.
“She’s been a great companion to all of us,” Sanchez said. “She’s super gentle. She would let Oliver pull her ears and tail when he was little.”
Dina is a good neighbor, too, as she rarely barks. Though she doesn’t like cats, and may give chase.
“She never catches them,” Sanchez said.
