Meet Jake! He is an 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix.
Layla Alo of Miami Lakes adopted him when he was a puppy.
“He’s totally friendly,” Alo said. “He’s a ham and loves to be rubbed on the ridge of fur along his back.”
Jake can be seen rolling in the grass at Shula’s Golf Club or while on walks along Miami Lakeway North. He also enjoys stalking iguanas until they flee into a lake, Alo said.
Two years ago, Jake overcame paralysis after surgery for a herniated disc.
“He’s a survivor,” Alo said.
