Piano and violin concert at Miami Lakes Congregational Church

Miami Lakes Congregational Church’s concert series is presenting a recital of piano and violin by recording artists Olga Lopez and Daniela Padron on
Saturday, March 14.
The mother-daughter duo, shown above, will perform music written and arranged by Latin American composers.
Compositions include “Libertango,” by Astor
Piazzolla.
López plays piano and Padrón performs on a violin; they released an album in 2018 called “LATAM.”
Padrón was among the musicians in the Venezuelan world music band Gaêlica who were nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2013.
She released her first solo album, “Bach to Venezuela” in 2016, and on it she adapts works of Johann Sebastian Bach into Venezuelan folk rhythms.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, donations are accepted.
