From singing at Miami Lakes community events, at her church and countless events at Mater Lakes Academy (MLA), Miami Lakes resident Mercedes Ferreira-Dias made it to Team Blake on NBC’s The Voice.
On September 24, the first episode of the blind auditions aired, and all viewers, especially her MLA family and friends in Miami Lakes, were ecstatic to see her sing “She Used To Be Mine” by Sara Bareilles.
With her excellent singing and song choice, she had Voice judges Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson turn their chairs for her. The choice became hers as she had to choose between both judges. Ferreira-Dias chose Team Blake, the king of country music.
MLA administration and staff are beyond proud of her. Up next, Ferreira-Dias will face the battle rounds. Her support team from MLA are wishing her the best of luck as they root for her in further success on the show.
