Reindeer Run set for Dec. 9

     The Miami Lakes Veterans Committee is inviting runners of all ages and abilities to its Reindeer Run 5K on Saturday, Dec. 9. 

     Presented by Headquarter Toyota, the Reindeer Run 5K is a three-mile walk, jog or run through Business Park West. 

     The $35 registration fee will support veterans, the organizers said. 

     The race begins at Veterans Park and will loop through the business park during this festive dash. 

     All finishers will receive a holiday-themed medal; the top three male and female finishers will receive awards. 

     Packet pick-up will be on Dec. 8 at Headquarter Toyota in the used car building, 5895 NW 167 St. 

     Warmup starts at 7:30 a.m., followed by a playing of the national anthem at 7:45 a.m. 

     The race begins at 8 a.m. at Veterans Park, 15151 NW 82nd Ave.
