A new reporter has joined The Miami Laker.
Alexandra Herrera, 31, grew up in Miramar, lives in Hialeah and is familiar with Miami Lakes.
She was educated at Suffolk University in Boston, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism.
Alex is an experienced reporter of community news, most recently writing from the west coast of Florida for the West
Villages Sun and North Port Sun.
Her beats for The Miami Laker will include municipal government reporting and profiling interesting
people in town.
“I’m excited to be here,” Alexandra Herrera said. “I really enjoy learning about people and hearing their stories. Everybody has an interesting story to tell."
Alex welcomes tips and ideas for articles.
“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone in town and getting to know Miami Lakes better,” she said.
