Retired Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Division Chief Foy Jenkins recently became the fire chief of Morrisville, North Carolina. The town celebrated his appointment with a Change of Command Ceremony in front of Morrisville's Fire Station One. A contingent of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel, including Fire Chief Dave Downey, was on hand to witness the passing of the trumpet, a time-honored fire service tradition announcing a new chief. Chief Downey and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue family wished Jenkins the best of luck in his new assignment. Jenkins was joined at the ceremony by his wife.
