Miami Lakes Elderly Affairs Committee will host a Senior Appreciation Golden Hero Awards Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, at Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue.
The community was invited to nominate men and women over the age of 60 for the Golden Hero Award. From athletes to caregivers, Golden Heros illuminate many paths in life and have accomplished outstanding achievements, demonstrated exemplary service to others and the community, and are inspiring models of active aging.
