Miami Lakes Cultural Affairs Committee will host the annual “Paint a Picture for Mom” event during Super Saturday At The Park on Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 N.W. 82 Avenue.
Children of all ages will have an opportunity to be creative and paint something special for Mom just in time for Mother’s Day. Canvas, brushes and paint will be provided free of charge.
Families can ride their bike to the park, participate in the Community Bike Ride beginning at 8 a.m., and visit the weekly Farmer’s Market to pick out exceptional gifts for Mom.
Super Saturday visitors can also enjoy musical performances provided by A Greener Miami through their program “Music to Market.” The South Beach Chamber Ensemble will be performing Tango, Samba, and Cuban tunes beginning at noon.
Super Saturday timeline includes:
• Community Bike Ride, registration at 7:30 a.m., 5 mile family-friendly loop begins at 8 a.m.
• Yoga in the Park, 9 to 10 a.m.;
• Farmer’s Market, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.;
• Boot Camp, 10 to 11 a.m.;
• Paint a Picture for Mom, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and
• Music to Market, noon to 1 p.m.
