Miami Lakes Youth Center will host several programs during late April and early May for middle and high school students from 6 to 8 p.m. at “The Spot” located at 6075 Miami Lakes Drive.
Friday, April 21 – Jam Night. Bring instruments, voice, dance moves, and talent to jam out with friends. Strum guitars, beat drums, sing away. Don’t have an instrument? No problem. Play on one of the Center’s Rock Band instruments and ROCK ON.
Wednesday, April 26 – To Study or Not to Study – Whether more prep time is needed before the upcoming AP exams and projects, or if students simply need a break from the school grind, “The Spot” offers alternatives. Bring a study buddy and take advantage of the Study Room by challenging each other’s knowledge getting reach to ace the tests, or simply kick back and enjoy the Game Room with X-Box, ping pong, air hockey and more.
Friday, May 5 – Star Wars Night. Come dressed as favorite Star Wars characters and get ready for Star Wars trivia games and more.
Wednesday, May 10 – Hamilton Theme Night. Who is ready to party like its 1776? Join at The Spot for Hamilton games, American History trivia, a costume contest, and of course, karaoke with favorite Hamilton songs.
