Miami Lakes

Aventura

“This time of year, not only this time of year, I work with my synagogue,” said Enrique Lisker.

“I give donations to the synagogue. The donations are to help the people who are in need, sick people, to get them food … now especially during the holidays.”

Elvis Morales

Owen Smart Video

Palm Springs North

We tend to give out toys,” said Elvis Morales. “Every Christmas we try to give out as many toys as possible.”

Maria Crowley

Professor of Architectural History

University of Miami

Miami Lakes

“I think one of the most beautiful things we do as part of Zonta [International] is we provide Christmas stockings at Pace [Center for Girls],” Maria Crowley said.

“Pace really supports girls and helps them graduate and go on to a bright future,” she said.

Jandro Suarez

Executive Officer

Miami-Dade County Schools Police Dept.

Westwood Lakes

“Our community is so supportive of what we do,” Jandro Suarez said. “They’re always giving back every year. [The department] has been doing an annual toy drive giveaway.”

“This Friday, December 20th, we’ll be doing a toy giveaway at our headquarters … That’s one of the events we do to give back to the community. We have over 1,000 toys.”

Andrew Platt

Co-Owner, Ernie’s Acai

Miami Lakes

“[Personally] what we do is give back to the community, whether it be a canned food drive, clothing or toys, it just depends on who’s asking,” Andrew Platt said.

“We believe in a lot of philanthropic missions at Ernie’s. We’ll give a percentage of revenue back to a bunch of different organizations. We’ve had fundraisers all month.”
