Town’s Spring Break camps offered by PEAR and YMCA

Miami-Dade County School’s Spring Break is just around the corner from April 10 to 14 and now is the time to register students, ages 5 to 12, at one of the Miami Lakes’ Day Camps through partnerships with PEAR and the YMCA.

The Program is Education, Afterschool and Resiliency (PEAR) camp is offered at the Town’s Youth Center “The Spot,” 6075 Miami Lakes Drive East. PEAR’s innovative wellness-based curriculum educates and equips participants for wellness success and includes activities in the areas of Fitness Fun, Team Training, Sports of Sorts, Art Adventures, Performance Play, PEAR Core Values and Simplified Science.

The YMCA camp is offered at the Roberto Alonso Community Center, 16500 N.W. 87 Avenue. The YMCA also offers a variety of enrichment options through sports, health and wellness programs, games, arts and crafts, tutoring, and recreational activities. For information, call 786-370-7315.
