Veterans Committee seeks Grand Marshal, participants for parade

    The Miami Lakes Veterans Committee is accepting nominations for Grand Marshal for the 43rd Annual Veterans Day Parade, to be held in town Nov. 6.

     It is the oldest such tribute in Miami-Dade County to retired and active-duty service members.

     Thousands of marchers and spectators particpate each year.

      A candidate for Grand Marshal should be a town resident, have outstanding service, pride and commitment to the community and country and provide proof of honorable service in the Armed Forces.

     Schools, teams, bands and youth and community organizations that wish to march should register by Oct. 31 at https://bit.ly/3dHZYgf.
