BGEC names outstanding teachers

Bob Graham Education Center is recognizing two of its teachers. Jennifer Leal-Mansito, above, was named Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year. Leal-Mansito attended public schools in Miami-Dade County and began teaching at BGEC in 2002. Florida International University diver Maha Gouda is headed to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo this summer. The sophomore qualified to represent her home country of Egypt in the Olympics 10-meter platform diving event after she won a gold medal in the 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco, FIU said. Santa and Mrs. Claus made their way to Bob Graham Education Center on Dec. 16 when they surprised Teacher Kimberly Ottaviani’s second grade class.
