Do the Right Thing essay contest winners at BGEC

Two sixth grade students from Bob Graham Education Center (BGEC) were finalists for the 2018 Do the Right Thing Essay Contest. The students were selected out of 1,800 student submissions in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Diego Paiz and Sabrina Hernandez, along with their teachers Jacqueline Arrojo-Hernandez and Christina Hernandez were honored at a ceremony on May 23 at the Law Office of Holland and Knight for their excellent work.
  Mater Academy’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble recently finished first place and won the gold rating at the World Strides Heritage Festival in Washington D.C. Following the competition, both groups won the Adjudicator Award for receiving a score of 92 or higher. In addition, the program received the Sweepstakes Award for scoring combined scores that totaled 200 points, and the Jazz Ensemble received the Outstanding Band Group...

Five BGEC NJHS students awarded grants

  Bob Graham Education Center (BGEC) recognized five members from the National Honor Junior Society who have been selected as recipients of the 2018 National Junior Honor Society Outstanding Achievement Award.
