Miami-Dade Schools Police Department Police Explorers from Barbara Goleman High School were recognized for volunteering to help people following Hurricane Irma, which destroyed some areas in Miami-Dade County. The Explorers helped pass out water and food to people affected by damages the storm caused, and removed downed trees and debris from business and residential properties in Miami Lakes and the surrounding areas.

The results are in for the industry certification exams taken by the students in the Academy of Education at Mater Lakes Academy.
