Mater Lakes musicians earn highest rankings at state assessments

     Lola Cosani, a freshman at Barbara Goleman Senior High School, plans to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders June 21-23 at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, Mass.      Lola, 14, of Hialeah, is a member of Goleman’s Medical Leaders of Tomorrow Club and also plays on the school tennis team.      She hopes to become a veterinarian. MLK-8 student names bus route for county contest

     Miami-Dade County recognized 14 fourth graders who won the GO Electric Bus naming contest, including Jayden Hebra from Miami Lakes K-8 Center.      Jayden, 10, from Miramar, represented District 13 and won for naming a bus the Electric 305. Contestants from 37 schools had to have close ties to their respective county neighborhoods and the environment, county officials said.      ...
