Ray of Hope Gala honors M-Dade School board chair

Miami-Dade School Board chair Perla Tabares Hantman was honored on November 15 at the 2014 Ray of Hope Gala to benefit South Florida Autism Charter Schools. Hantman was recognized for her outstanding contributions to education and the safety and well-being of the children of South Florida. South Florida Autism Charter Schools, Inc. provides education and services to students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
Miami Lakes area students received the President’s Volunteer Service award for their community service during the South Florida Youth Symphony’s 50th anniversary concert held at Miami Dade North Campus on December 14.
