Miami Lakes K-8 Center held its annual Fall Scholastic Book Fair in late November with special events for attendees and was labeled by the school a success. The students and parents were treated to a night of “Reading Under the Stars,” face painting, crafts, and a Trash or Treasure show with some courtly dances from the Renaissance dance troupe. 
  Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School’s 18th annual Children’s Fashion Show and luncheon was labeled a stylish fundraising success. The show was held October 11 at the Doubletree Miami Airport Convention Center and featured 125 student models, from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, and drew more than 600 guests.   Miami Lakes K-8 Center is hosting its Fall Scholastic Book Fair from November 17-21.
