Pace students raise $4,000 for school in Haiti

    Monsignor Edward Pace High School raised over $4,000 from their annual Battle of the Bands and DJs, a fundraiser with a 30-year tradition.      The money will benefit Pace’s sister school in Haiti, and will be used to help pay salaries there, according to David Masters, theology teacher at Pace.       Masters helped start the event in 1991. MLK-8 Center students perform at Honors Music Festival

The Superintendent’s Honors Music Festival chose four students from Miami Lakes K-8 Center to perform at events held Miami Senior High School during the first week in April.  Grace Mazzorana, a 5th grader, sang with the Elementary Chorus at Miami Senior High School. Miami Lakes Middle School students won 1st Place in the drama competition held at the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition. The students performed numbers from a variety of Broadway musicals and popular films.
