American High offers After-School Meals

Miami-Dade County Public Schools currently provides the After-school Meals Program, a sub-component of the Child Care Food Program under the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in over 200 schools, and announced the implementation of the program at G. Holmes Braddock Senior High and American Senior High schools.

The program is designed primarily to provide nutritious meals to children in after-school programs throughout the school district. Starting on March 1, a meal is available at no charge to the student regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability to the children enrolled in the after-school care programs at G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School and American Senior High School.
