BGEC student is a published poet

     The American Library of Poetry has published a poem by Camila Forero in its annual student anthology “Expressions.”

     Camila’s poem “Spring” was chosen for the collection. She is a fifth-grade student at Bob Graham Education Center in Miami Lakes and her work is included with writing by students from across the country who are in the third to twelfth grades. 

     Yecenia Martinez, a principal at BGEC, said Camila, of Miami Lakes, was encouraged by her teacher Liz Aguerre to submit a poem to be considered for the anthology.  

      “Camila often spent her journal time in class writing original poems and stories,” Martinez said.
