BGEC's Nicolle Alvarez wins first place in poetry contest

Bob Graham Education Center eighth-grade student Nicolle Alvarez won first place in the sixth to eighth grade category of the American Chemical Society Poem competition with the theme “Indoor Ecosystem.
Her poem will be representing Bob Graham Education Center and Miami-Dade County Public Schools at the national level American Chemical Society Competition.
“We are so proud of Nicolle for this prestigious recognition,” school officials said on the school’s Facebook page.
