Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr. hosted the 2016 Appreciation Breakfast to honor the faculty, staff and PTSA at Miami Lakes Middle School for helping make the school among the best in the North Region.
The school’s success is anchored by its award-winning Legal Studies Magnet Program and Cambridge Academy, and has the second largest gifted population by selecting the top elementary students to participate in a wide spread of academic programs, extra curricular activities and sports.
For Miami Lakes Middle School’s success, Dr. Manual Sanchez was named Miami-Dade Public Schools Principal of the Year, and the PTSA was recognized for its roll in helping to foster the school’s success.
