In order to prepare its students for their post-secondary studies and careers, Dade Christian School is committed to providing a learning environment infused with technology, beginning with the elementary program.
One goal of the Dade Christian School Technology Refresh Initiative is to empower the students and equip them with the necessary tools for success.
Today’s students are becoming increasing digitally literate and the school’s upgraded computer labs are now equipped with the latest capabilities to supplement the students’ skills.
A total of 76 state-of-the-art workstations have been installed on the DCS campus in the elementary, middle school and high school labs, as well as the media center, thus completing phase one of the technology refresh.
Each device is upgraded in the form of HP Revolve Hybird laptop/tablets for facility members.
In 2007, Dade Christian School partnered with United Data Technologies Inc. (UDT), which has been integral in the refreshing of the school’s workstations and infrastructure in 2008 and once again in 2014-2015.
DCS's long-standing relationship with UDT, a leading provider in high-performance technology solutions, spans both the professional and personal levels. UDT co-founders and DCS alumni, Henry Fleches and Gerard Amaro's friendship began on the Dade Christian football field.
After college, Fleches and Amaro reunited to form what is now one of the 50 fastest growing IT firms in the U.S., according to Everything Channel.
UDT’s largest clients include Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Hillsborough County Public Schools, the state of Florida and the Miami Marlins.
In addition to the recent technological upgrades, Dade Christian School has implemented the use of SMART and Promethean boards, Apple TV’s, tablets and e-books for the secondary students, table and touch sensitive laptop mobile carts, as well as ActiVote response systems for the elementary classrooms.
