Finn-Con returns to MDC on June 21

Finn-Con is returning to Miami Dade College North Campus on Saturday, June 21.

Events are free and will be held from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. 

In its third year, Finn-Con has drawn thousands of attendees to celebrate anime, manga, graphic novels, gaming, and pop culture, MDC spokeswoman Norma Ardilla said in a media release.

There will be interactive attractions, special guests, cosplay contests, charity tournaments and an anime and video game concert.

It's family-friendly for kids and creatives.

Also on the schedule:

  • Charity Gaming Tournaments (Smash Bros., Mario Kart) to benefit Nicklaus Children's Hospital through Extra Life

  • Cosplay (costumes) & singing competitions 

  • A "Harry Potter" Escape Room and life-sized board games

  • A live concert of music from video games and anime The Legend of ZeldaTokyo GhoulDark Souls; Star Fox and more, with award-winning visuals, the school said.

  • Face painting, slime science, mask-making

  • Special guests including voice actors, performers, and artists from anime and games

  • Panels, workshops and presentations exploring the cultural and artistic impact of these forms of entertainment

Miami-Dade College's North Campus is at 11380 NW 27th Ave. in Miami.
