FIU swim-dive team honored for academics

Florida International University women's swimming and diving team has been named a Scholar All-America team for their academic performance in the 2018 fall semester, according to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
NCAA Division I, II and III, as well as NAIA and NJCAA teams, are eligible for the distinction, which is awarded to all teams with a combined GPA of at least 3.0.The FIU women's squad posted a team GPA of 3.49, which ranked as the second-highest in Conference USA. 
A record 713 teams received the recognition, from 460 institutions, representing 16,502 student-athletes.
