Goleman alumni graduates from Georgia Tech

Born and raised in Miami Lakes, Bryan Benaiges, a Barbara Goleman Senior High School (Goleman) Alumni and 2014 class Valedictorian recently graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his studies as Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering.

During his summers in Georgia Tech he completed a successful study abroad program in The University of Limerick, Ireland. He was also selected for a summer internship in the renowned Defense, Aircraft, Rocket and Satellite co., Northrop Grumman. They were so impressed with his work ethics, knowledge and commitment that he was offered a job upon graduation. Benaiges is a member of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

While in Goleman Benaiges was the top of his class and graduated with a weighted GPA of over six. Some of his accomplishment during his senior year included, receiving the Outstanding Senior Student Award. He also received Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in subjects like, AP Calculus BC, Science, Mathematics, Physics, Social Studies, Outstanding Male Athlete Scholar and Silver Knight Nominee in Mathematics. All while maintaining perfect attendance for 12 Years. He was also involved in several extra curricular activities such as student government president, math club president, water polo team, swim team and the key club.

Following his graduation Benaiges returned home to South Florida. After receiving several job offers, he decided to accept Northrop Grumman’s offer and is currently employed by them.
