Goleman High hosts mock trials contest

Barbara Goleman Senior High School hosted its annual mock trial competition for middle schools in December. Bob Graham Education Center, Miami Lakes K-8 Center, Hialeah Gardens Middle School and Palm Springs Middle School competed, with 1st Place overall won by BGEC’s Civic Engagement Academy. MLK-8 placed 2nd. BGEC students led by teacher John Brady also earned individual honors. Principal Yecenia Martinez said Saray Bacallao received the Best Lawyer Award and Andrew Urrutia won Best Witness prize.
