The School for Advanced Studies is ranked a top place for learning once again by U.S. News & World Report.
SAS has five locations on the campuses of Miami Dade College and is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system.
The magazine said it was the third best high school in the country and the number one high school in Florida.
The publication ranks schools on student performance on state-required tests, graduation rates and how well educators prepare students for college, among other factors, according to its website.
“I am extremely proud of our students, educators, administrators and parents from @SASWhiteTigers for continuing to make history and placing #3 in the national ranking of the 2023-2024 Best High Schools in the @USNews report,” Superintendent Jose L. Dotres said on X, formerly Twitter.
The high school, called the Dream Factory, is celebrating its 35th year.
Jose Marti Mast 6-12 Academy in Hialeah also ranked high, as it did last year: 87th best in the country and 10th best in the state.
The school also took to the social media platform, calling their finish in the lists, “Amazing breaking news” and said in another post, “We are very proud of what our students, parents and teachers have accomplished over the past few years.”
