Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) administrators and teachers participated in the second annual Synergy Summer Institute which provided training for over 700 principals, assistant principals and teachers from throughout the school district.
The Synergy Summer Institute took place in early July for three days of professional development at Miami Jackson Senior High. The leadership teams focused on five key areas including rigorous academic standards and standards-based instruction, quality professional growth and development for teachers and administrators placing an emphasis on global learning, digital convergence, and strategic planning and development for a culture of continuous improvement.
