More than 160 students from high schools throughout the Miami-Dade County Public School District engaged with expert panelists during the bi-annual social media journalism forum.

Chief Communications officer Daisy Gonzalez Diego moderated the forum, asking questions and leading an interactive discussion about responsible journalism in an era of instant communication.

Superintendent of Schools Alberto M. Carvalho also spoke to the students about moral and ethical practices in this important field. Students gained valuable insight from five experts in the fields of social media and journalism.
