Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) was recently awarded the coveted Trusted Learning Environment (TLE) Seal for implementing student data privacy protections that meet a set of high standards around five core practice areas: Leadership, Business, Data Security, Professional Development and Classroom.

The seal is presented by the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), in association with the School Superintendents Association (AASA), the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), and ASCD formerly known as the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.

The TLE Seal is a mark of distinction for school systems, signaling that they have taken measurable steps to implement strong practices to ensure the privacy of student data. M-DCPS is the only school district in Florida and the largest in the nation to have received this national recognition.
