Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ enrollment period for magnet programs across the school district is currently underway. Applications will be accepted through Monday, January 15.
In addition to the many exciting programs that were offered last year, parents and students will be able to choose from new and innovative magnet programs that were created for the 2017-2018 school year. Magnet programs offer unique thematic strands of study that focus on students’ special interests, talents, and abilities for all grade levels.
The offerings this year include new magnet programs in the areas of Robotics, Digital Marketing, Mobile Application Development, Coding, Cybersecurity, Zoology, Botany, as well as Design, Animation & Gaming.
The magnet application system can be accessed at http://yourchoicemiami.org/, which is be available in multiple languages. This tool simplifies the application process, increases parental access to information and enhances communication throughout the process, as well as including how-to video guides.
