Main Street Banner Art winners announced

The Graham Companies announced the winners of “I Can Make A Difference” Main Street Banner Art Contest.

With over 200 submissions, only 26 pieces were able to be showcased on the light poles in the median along Main Street.

The artwork submissions were judged by 13 individuals who selected the top piece of work for Elementary, Middle and High School students.

The top Elementary School submission was from Bob Graham Education Center student Megan Garcia for her artwork titled “Save the Trees.”

The top Middle School submission was from Bob Graham Education Center student Alexandra Batista for her artwork titled “Water My World.”

The top High School submission was from Barbara Goleman Senior High student Karolina Sanchez for her artwork titled “Showing Kindness to Others.”

In addition to the winners, 23 other students were included as overall winners.

From grades K-5 – Atena Aguero, Stephen Bowles, Linnet Chio, Sophia Fernandez, Susanna Inguanzo, Sophia Inguanzo, Christopher Inguanzo, Bellina Milito, Angelina Napoles, Sofia Perez, Onelis Torres-Buela, and Matilda Velazco-Pryce.

From grades 6-8 – Hailey Alvarez, Sofia Dubon, Madison Londono, Natalie Martinez, Shayndis Melo, Flavia Nuney Ludeiro, Amanda Saiz, Julian Sarria and Xinyi Xie.

From grades 9-12 – Yanai Fraga and Fraco Gomez.

The Graham Companies expressed its appreciation to Bob Graham Education Center, Miami Lakes K-8 Center, Miami Lakes Middle School, Barbara Goleman High School, American Senior High, and Hialeah Miami Lakes High School for supporting the contest with involvement from their art teachers and students.
